A suspected cultist said to be behind attacks in Abeokuta and Ifo areas of Ogun State has been arrested by operatives of the state police command.
The suspect, Rotimi Adebiyi, popularly called Paracetamol, has been on the wanted list of police over his alleged role in many fatal cult clashes.
Adebiyi was arrested in Ifo on Saturday by a SWAT team led by Chief Superintendent of Police Olanrewaju Kalejaye.
Police spokesperson Abimbola Oyeyemi said yesterday that one local pistol, one live cartridge, assorted criminal charms, weed suspected to be Indian hemp and a cutlass were recovered from him.
