Pastor Blinks has been jailed after a video showing him shaving women’ s pubic hairs went viral in back in the past.
Police in Ghana have detained a so- called pastor, Nana Mensah Mark, also known as Pastor Blinks, for screening an illegal film in the country in 2017. After
a video of him shaving his female parishioners’ armpit and pubic hairs as a sort of purification and deliverance during a phony church session went viral, Pastor Blinks became famous.
Earlier, he disclosed that the shaving of the women in the film, which he was seen doing, was not the result of his actions, but rather of the spirit of God leading him.
However, it was eventually revealed that the viral video was a preview for a film called ” Pastor Blinks, ” which was set to debut in December 2017.
In response to the strong critiques that accompanied the trailer, the pastor clarified that the goal was not to discredit Christianity, but rather to help identify the bad ones as they are rather gaining roots. Five years later after his actions, the pastor was caught by the police and charged in court over the movie.
This came after he was referred to authorities by the National Film Authority (NFA) for creating and distributing a film without a classification designation.
In an interview with Kofi Adoma, Pastor Blinks acknowledged his arrest and revealed the charges brought against him.
The pastor was observed urging his congregation to hurry up and attend the ” holy wash. ” Following the bath, the church members were seen tying towels while another pastor applied olive oil to them.
The cleric further said that the directive came from the Holy Spirit and that he was aware that it would cause controversy, despite the fact that he had no choice but to obey the spirit.
According to Ghanaian news outlets, the pastor performed a ceremony to cleanse his congregation in order for them to be ” holy and pure. ”
The pastor’ s arrest is indeed a step in the right direction, as it will help stop his ungodly practices.
