TAKE BACK YOUR COUNTRY

2023 general elections, provides us as Nigerians to redirect this ship called Nigeria and sail it towards the path of progress. The major issues we have at this time as a people is most likely the delegates who have the real power to elect in individuals that would bear the flag of their party and by implication, being the one we the electorates are left with the option of choosing to vote in as an elected official of government.

Yesterday, Mr. Peter Obi , distinguished individual, concluded his tour on meeting the delegates round the country(36 states of the federation). The reality is that a lot of Nigerians want to see a leadership that is sincere– Purposeful and a leadership that will bring back hope to the ordinary citizen of Nigeria and many of us trust the Peter Obi to deliver on this promise based on his very sound and unarguable track record. I for one, I think I am an incurable optimist but then again, our country seems to give one reasons to think backing down! One question that I have constantly asked myself is without any answers is, what if, Peter Obi doesn’t emerge at the primaries? I say this not as a dooms player but as someone who tries also to be realistic. Who is that individual that Nigerians can trust so well? The mood of the country is similar to the mood we had in 2015 when Mr Buhari took over the reigns of power. If we have three names it is, Peter Obi, Peter Obi, Peter Obi!

In this state of confusion, I still find hope that our dear delegates will vote in a man who would protect the future and aspirations of their children. A man who is ready to go hungry just to see that as a people, we food to eat and lost of hopes!

Mr Peter Obi has always said and I quote “The problem with Nigeria today, is an accumulated effect of leadership failure over the years”.

2023, provides us the opportunity to once again take back our country and make it a productive nation. A nation that with proper leadership and planning, we can compete with the developed countries of this world.

I urge our northern delegates, to stand by Peter Obi. You have seen, he is not the normal politician, what we need now is that extraordinary leadership to take us out of where we are today and perhaps take us to Nivannah.

Also know this, you can’t do it without your Permanent Voters Card. We are almost at the final lap of it. Do the needful Now!
