2023 Presidency: Peter Obi Meets Akwa Ibom Delegates Over Ambition

As political parties continue to prepare for the 2023 electioneering season, presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dr. Peter Obi has met and briefed the Akwa Ibom State delegates on his presidential ambition.

Obi, a former governor of Anambra State and financial expert on Monday, 2nd May on a consultation tour to the PDP, Akwa Ibom State Secretariat, Atan Offot, Uyo, shared his blueprint anchored on economic recovery and rescue of the nation from total decay.

He prayed the PDP to join forces with him to revive the country so citizens can have a sense of patriotism and belonging. He also appreciated Governor Udom Emmanuel’s PDP led administration for the development in the state.

In response, the Chairman, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Aniekan Akpan, said the PDP in the state is well positioned for partnership in the mission to rescue Nigeria from the fangs of systemic decay which he observed is caused by the negligence of the other party in power at the centre.

He said, ”we say in our state that Akwa Ibom is PDP and PDP is Akwa Ibom. We have a united front. Akwa Ibom PDP is strategic, well placed and well positioned for partnership in this all important mission to rescue Nigeria from the fangs of systemic decay”.

He told Dr Obi that PDP in Akwa Ibom is in concord with the general consensus that Nigeria has deteriorated and needs to be healed, insisting that the only way to see to that is by voting PDP into leadership at the center.
