EVERY AKWA IBOM PERSON SHOULD BE PROUD OF QUA IBOE CHURCH NIGERIA

The National Coordinator of the Maintain Peace Movement, MPM and standard PDP flag bearer of the 2023 electioneering Senatorial seat for Akwa Ibom North West, Hon (Barr) Emmanuel Enoidem has said, every Akwa Ibom person should be proud of Qua Iboe Church, Nigeria, because it is “our own church, founded in Akwa Ibom State”.
Hon (Barrister) Emmanuel Enoidem stated this yesterday in Uyo, during the Solemnization of Holy Matrimony between the daughter of the Director of Public Relations in the Ministry of Information and Strategy, Dr. Emily-Queen Monday Akpan and Dr Etifiok Oliver Nkop at Qua Iboe Church, Uyo Township, No 2 Olusegun Obasanjo Way, Uyo.
The 2023 PDP Senator-in-waiting who disclosed that, he is always very happy whenever he attends any event in Qua Iboe Church anywhere in the country emphasized that, since the Church was founded in Akwa Ibom and has successfully existed for over a hundred years, then, all Akwa Ibom people should be proud to identify with the church.
“I always feel at home, whenever I come into Qua Iboe Church not only here but in any part of the country because this is one Church that was founded on our land and bears our name and identity” Enoidem said.
“People often ask, “What is in a name? And I answer that, a whole lot is in a name. A name is a mark of identity. So for the the Church that carries the identity of Akwa Ibom State for over a century, I am very proud of the Church and wish every other Akwa Ibom person should feel the same way”, he emphasized.
Enoidem who explained the antecedent behind his presence as the bride’s Father-of-the-day at the Wedding Ceremony, congratulated the couple, Dr/Dr (Mrs) Etifiok Oliver Nkop on their marriage and also the parents of the couple: Mr/Mrs Oliver Nkop and Deaconess Grace Monday Akpan.
While wishing the couple a fruitful and blissful married life ahead, Honourable Emmanuel Enoidem congratulated Qua Iboe Church for waxing on despite the challenges and extended financial support to the church.
In his homily, Revd Enobong Akpan who drew his scriptures from Ephesians 5: 28 -33, admonished the groom and all other husbands to love their Wives, even as the Lord Jesus Christ loved the church and gave his life for it. He also implored the bride and all other Wives to submit to their husbands as they are the crown of their heads.
On his part, the Minister-in-charge of the congregation, Revd Donald Cookey Ekpo, in his marital charge urged the couple to be faithful to each other and uphold their wedding vows to attract God’s blessings in their union.
At the reception afterwards at the Civil Service Auditorium, Idongesit Nkanga Secretariat Complex, Uyo, the Governor of the Feast, Elder Eyaekop Umanah, the Head of the Civil Service, Elder Effiong Essien represented by his wife, Mrs. Uduak Essien, the Chairman Civil Service Commission, Mrs Ekerebong Akpan, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong and the member representing Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency, Hon (Elder) Aniekan Umanah all wished the couple a blissful marital life.
Others who expressed their good wishes to the couple included: a former Commissioner for Information, Dr Prince Chris Abasieyo, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Akparawa James Edet, the Permanent Secretary, Transport, Otuekong Nse Edem, the Chairman of State NUJ, Comrade Amos Etuk, the General Manager of NTA (Channel 12) Uyo, Nkechi Iheme, the SA to the Governor on Research and Documentation, Mr. Essien Ndueso and the SA on Project monitoring, Mr. Aniefiok Akpaeno.
Also extending best wishes to the newly weds were: a Board member of AKSERWMA, Prince Charles Ememobong, the National Secretary of NAWOJ and Editor of Pioneer Newspaper, Helen Udofa, the State Chairman of NAWOJ, Comrade Nsikak Okon, the Press Secretary to the Wife of the Governor, Mrs. Amayo Umoh, the immediate past State Chairman of NAWOJ, Mrs. Uduak Ekong and the President of Nka Ukeme of QIC, Uyo, Dns Ekaete Wisdom Ekpo
