A family in the Iwo town of Osun State has been left in mourning after yet be identified persons killed their daughter, Shakirat.
Reports made available to newsmen revealed that parts of the lady’s body have been harvested by the suspected ritualists.
The assailants suspected to be ‘Yahoo Yahoo’ boys (internet fraudsters) had dumped Shakirat’s remains behind her mummy’s shop at Oke-Oore, Naija News learnt.
A resident of the community who identified himself as Adeola had told Daily Post that the body of the 22-year-old lady was discovered around 8 am, suspecting that she was killed by Yahoo boys.
Police spokesperson Yemisi Opalola confirmed the incident, saying investigation had begun, Naija News reports.
“We wanted to carry out an autopsy on her but the family insisted that we release her body to them,” Opalola said.
In another news, a newly married man, identified as Martins Honest Garando, has been beheaded by suspected cultists in Sagbama town, Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
The 30-year-old was murdered during a fight for supremacy between two cult groups.
The deceased got married to his wife, Belepeigha Gloria Oyins last year July.
According to Nigerian Tribune, the suspects sneaked into the deceased area at 1:30 am, invaded his home, drag him out severed his head and took it away with them.
The assailants hung the severed head on an electric pole for the indigenes of the community to see.
