The boy, his mother and the victim are all from Mairawani in Jambutu, Yola North LGA.

THE PRESS learnt that the victim was on his way out of his apartment on Sunday, December 4, when he ran into Aliyu Adamu and his mother.

When Aliyu, turning round and noticing Yautai staring at his mother, challenged the middle-aged man and without waiting for any answer, rained insults on him, leading to physical exchanges that resulted in him biting off the tip of Yautai’s right forefinger.

According to the Police prosecutor, Corporal Ismail Mohammed, the offences to which the defendant had pleaded guilty, contravened sections 240, 241 and 217 of the Penal Code.
