Why Bruce Fein Wants Me To Withdraw From Nnamdi Kanu’s Legal Team – Ifeanyi Ejiofor
Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, lead counsel to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has reacted to a letter directed to him by Bruce Fein, a US lawyer, asking him to resign from Nnamdi Kanu’s legal team.
AFNEWS had reported that Fein in a letter said Ejiofor has a pending N5.6m fraud case and as such should not be representing Kanu in the amended charges against him in the Federal High Court of Nigeria. READ HERE
Speaking to Sahara Reporters on the development, Ejiofor said Fein was aggrieved because he was refused access to Nnamdi Kanu while he was in Nigeria.
Barrister Ejiofor said; “Don’t mind him (Fein). I will send you a letter which I used to appoint Fein as Kanu’s representative. I appointed Nnamdi Kanu’s spokesperson in the United States and now, because he was unable to see Nnamdi Kanu here in Nigeria, he was alleging that I was the one who stopped him from seeing Kanu. He has no locus to start writing anything.”
Ejiofor, however, failed to address the alleged pending lawsuit instituted by a businessman against him over an alleged fraud of N5.6 million.
The lawyer also did not say if he would withdraw from Kanu’s legal team.
