Why You Should Not Store Fuel At Home Despite Scarcity | READ DETAILS

The Federal Fire Service (FFS) has advised Nigerians against storing fuel and other petroleum products in their homes despite the biting scarcity.

The Public Relations Officer, Plateau State Command of the FFS, Anzolo Epaphras, gave the advice in Jos on Friday.

The PRO warned that fuel, diesel, kerosene and others are highly inflammable products, and storing them in homes poses more danger of fire outbreak.

He also advised residents to have fire exits and install fire extinguishers in their homes.

“We strongly advise members of the public to desist from such, irrespective of the current fuel situation.

“These products are highly flammable and storing them at home multiplies the risk of a fire outbreak” Epaphras warned.

Meanwhile, Nigerians have continued to battle with fuel scarcity with few fuel stations open for sell and selling for at least N200 per liter.
